Immediate Load Quickens Integration

Posted by Biodent Store on

There have been many speculations and clinical tests performed to determine the time it takes for bone to integrate with a titanium core dental implant. The most common implant (Branemark) takes four months for a mandibular integration and six months for a maxillary.

Other implants with a hydroxylapatite coating have shorter integration periods, but have never advocated shorter loading periods.
In this article, I will attempt to analyze the idea of integration and the time it takes integration to occur. I will also introduce the idea of an immediate integrating and loading implant. The most common definition of integration, concerning implantology, is the contact of bone to a titanium surface.
